Betty Lou Hunt, 85, went to be with her Lord on Friday, March 1, 2024.
A native of Davidson County, Betty Lou was a daughter of the late Johnny and Ethel Hunt Sechrist. She worked for Skipper's Seafood for many years. She was of the Baptist faith. Betty Lou was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Ruth and Shirley Dockery; and two brothers, James and Bobby Sechrist.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Thomas Hunt; two daughters, Janet Tessner and Wanda Cline; three grandchildren, Danielle Blackmore, Amy Tessner and Mitchell Hulin; five great-grandchildren, Joshua, Savannah, Sophie, Bayleigh and Anakin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Betty Lou's life will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the Sechrest-Davis Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor John Hill. Burial will follow in Clarksbury Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 1 until 2 p.m.
