It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Yeriel Rodriguez, a beloved son, brother, and friend, who left this world far too soon at the age of 19. Yeriel was a bright and vivacious young man, known for his boundless energy, infectious smile, and an unmistakable zest for life that touched everyone around him.
A gifted athlete, Yeriel was not only a dedicated football player but also a passionate boxing connoisseur. His love for sports was evident in every stride on the field and every punch in the ring. He was driven by a fierce competitive spirit, always pushing himself and his teammates to be the best they could be.
But beyond his athletic talents, Yeriel was a remarkable soul with a heart as big as his personality. His impulsive nature often led to spontaneous adventures and acts of kindness, leaving lasting memories with all who knew him. He had an extraordinary ability to lift the spirits of those around him, whether through a joke, a smile, or simply by being there when needed most.
Yeriel's greatest pride was his brothers and sister, whom he held close to his heart. He looked up to his older brother and sister with deep admiration, drawing strength and inspiration from them. To his younger two brothers, Yeriel was more than just a sibling—he was their guardian, mentor, and biggest supporter. He guided them with a love that was both fierce and tender, always ready to offer wisdom, encouragement, and protection. Yeriel’s generosity was boundless; he would give anything for those he loved, often putting their needs before his own. His kind and loving spirit made him a cherished friend and an irreplaceable pillar of his family.
He leaves behind a heartbroken family: his devoted father Richard, his beloved mother Melinda, his older sister Charis, his older brother Richie, and two younger brothers Thiago and Raiden. They will forever remember his contagious laughter, his joyful energetic spirit, and the immeasurable love he brought into their lives.
Though Yeriel's time with us was far too brief, his impact was immense. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the incredible life he lived and the joy he brought to so many.
Yeriel is preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Michael Rodriguez; maternal grandmother, Kathleen Fagan; and cousin Mara Hoffner.
Rest in peace, Yeriel. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. We love you.
