William W (Bill) Moore of The Woodlands, TX passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the age of 93 at home, having succumbed to kidney failure. He had also suffered for many years with Dementia.
Born September 7th, 1931, raised in Greensboro NC, He served in the US Airforce from 1950 to 1954 based in Othello WA and was honorably discharged at the end of his term as Staff Sergeant. During this time he married the love of his life, Mary Sue Day, and went to work for V. Mueller Surgical, which later became Baxter Surgical Corporation. He worked for Baxter in sales and marketing for his entire career of around 35 years having received multiple awards and recognitions for his outstanding performance and achievements.
He and his wife were charter members of Calvary Church on Mary Bates Blvd in the Sharpstown area. Years later they would attend Full Gospel Fellowship of the Southwest in Stafford, Evangelistic Temple in Houston, and for the last 20+ years, Fellowship of The Woodlands, Traditions Chapel.
Bill, with his wife, were best known for their love of dogs, camping and RV travel, and spending time at their mountain home in South Fork CO. They were always committed to family, and church fellowship with other believers. He was extremely creative and talented with woodwork. If something needed to be built, fixed or invented he could do it. Whether under the hood of a car, or dealing with carpentry in the garage, he was a “fixer” and problem solver. There was very little he wouldn’t attempt.
While Bill was always charitable and ready when anyone needed help with something, he worked quietly, focused, and task oriented. One who always finished the job. Never a procrastinator.
Bill is survived by his children, Patti S. Moore of Conroe TX and Matthew W. Moore (wife Alice Moore) of Tomball TX, Grandchildren and their families, Natalie Moore Kruse (husband Daniel) of Cypress TX, William Tyler Moore (wife Leeanne) of Cypress TX, Justin M.
