Robert Cook Sutton, III

Rob began his professional career as a chemical engineer having earned a BS from The University of Texas. He also earned an MBA, A Master of Science in Technology Management, and a Doctorate of Education in Organization Change all from Pepperdine University in California. Rob was named a distinguished alumnus from Pepperdine University in 1995. His exemplary leadership was demonstrated during his employments at Standard Oil of California, Brown and Root in Houston and Singapore, ABS Industrial Verification, Bureau Veritas, TellTale Partners, Inc., and Renewable Fuel Certification Services.

Rob’s extensive business experience includes senior and executive positions in a broad range of industries, including information management, engineering and construction, and petroleum and petrochemical manufacturing. He has also held positions on the boards of numerous closely held corporations. Among several professional affiliations, he enjoyed membership in the Antique Telescope Society. He had many successful pursuits, including hobbies of instrumental music and reading.

Dr. Sutton was preceded in death by his parents Ruth and Bob Sutton of Cotulla, TS.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Bonnie Sutton; sons, Robert Cook Sutton, IV and Geoffrey Benjamin Sutton all of The Woodlands, TX.; brothers, Eugene Sutton and wife Renee, Cole Sutton and wife Lina all of Austin, TX. along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 9 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 3801 S. Panther Creek Drive, The Woodlands, TX. with funeral services following at 2:00 PM. Interment in Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
