Hello, I'm very sorry for your loss, my mom told me and I couldn't believe it, that the one who always told me nice things like I like your braid or I love your jacket is dead, we love you very much, I know you're in a better place, they told us about you. At school I cried too much I miss you Miss Collins, they told us to have discretion, but what happened? because you died we miss you a lot my collins I am from my casadevall class goodbye I miss you.

she was the nicest teacher in thiess and was always nice the kids that she had in her class and even the ones that where not in her class

She was my favorite teacher she taught  me for 2 years and she knew how to control my anger and helped me control it she was everyone’s favorite teacher we all loved her

Michelle and I met when our boys were in preschool together and their younger siblings were the same age. Over the following years, we had many fun adventures together with our children.  Michelle was a precious friend and a wonderful mother.  I know she will be watching over her sweet babies.

Michelle Collin’s was my teacher at smith Elementary I cried so hard for her I miss her a lot and I hope I can go to her funeral someday

I worked with some of Michelle's students at Smith Elementary.  Michelle loved her students as much as they loved her. Her teaching, love, and dedication will be a part of their memories forever. May you find peace in the  everlasting footprint she has left on many children, coworkers, and friends. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

It’s hard to believe Michelle is gone. She has been a sweet presence in my life for decades. 
Because of our maiden names, any big event in which our HS class was put in alphabetical order… we were together, either side by side or just a few seats away. Ring Ceremony, graduation … she was there beside me, we celebrated the milestones of HS together. 
   I moved to Klein, Texas in 2005 and when she moved here in 2013-14.. she reached out to me. I’m so glad she did. Two DHS girls found each other in Big Ole Houston. We had a steady stream of texts  sharing everything from news from home to quick reviews on nearby snoball stands. Of course we both agreed Houston just can’t replicate authentic New Orleans cuisine. 
   In 2022 we found ourselves sitting beside each other once again. This time we were on the sidelines as our boys played flag football together.  It felt like home. 
   This is hard. It’s so sudden and so tragic. It reminds us of how quickly things can change and I can’t take anything or anyone for granted. 
I will keep Drew and Stella in my prayers. 💛

My son had Ms. Collins as a 4th grade teacher in 2020. The world around us was weird, but Michelle had a way of making everything normal for the kids. She  had a loving relationship with her class.   She was also a  gifted reading teacher and had a way of getting my kid into the perfect book. At the end of year, we picked out teacher appreciation gifts, and Jake found a gift he thought Ms. Collins would love. He said she laughed when she opened it. As a 7th grader now, he still sees Ms. Collins as the best teacher he ever had. He's become such a reader and I really have her to thank. We are forever grateful. We truly loved Ms. Collins.

Mrs. Collins was my son’s 4th grade teacher, he is now a freshman in high school. We were extremely sad to find out about her passing. She was such a great teacher to him and also the “nicest” like he said. She is a teacher he will always remember and one who had such a positive impact on him. Our condolences to her family.

Deeply saddened by this news.  Michelle was so welcoming and such a bright light.  We will truly miss her.  Sending my sincere condolences and an abundance of prayers to the family.  
I pray Drew and Stella find peace and comfort during this difficult time. They will always have the strongest, most loving guardian angel watching over them. Rest in Peace, Michelle.

My deepest condolences to the family of Michelle. She was my daughter’s favorite teacher. Every day she would come home telling me of a moment when Mrs. Collins uplifted her, taught her something new, and enriched her life. Her empathy as a teacher was one of her greatest strengths. 

She taught my daughter to love reading. She inspired her to read more. Upon hearing of her passing Nora cried, and said “but what about flashlight Fridays?”  Mrs. Collins found ways to make activities fun and memorable.  She excelled in one of the most noble yet challenging professions. 

If it is any consolation to her family, I assure you that Mrs. Collins will remain alive and well within my daughter’s heart.

Michelle was a bright light and joy to know and be around. She is truly missed and was loved by so many. She was my sorority sister and will be remembered forever. Praying God's peace rests on her precious children and family.

rest in peace Mrs. Collins you were the best 4 and 5th-grade teacher ever. I miss you so much and you were always in the best mood. Some of my favorite memories were when you came to my dance recital and always talked to me when I needed it the most.

I had the honor of working with Michelle in Klein ISD. She’s was an exceptional teacher who practiced a radical empathy that made every student in her classroom feel safe and supported. As devastating as it is to lose her, her legacy will live on in the hearts of anyone who was fortunate enough to know her. My deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers to her sweet children and family.

mrs. collins was my 5th and 4th grade ela teacher she was there when I was sad and gave the best hugs too. everyone loved her and she is hilarious. always in a good mood and will brighten up your day with one smile.

My daughter’s favorite teacher was Ms. Collins. Avery sobbed today when she found out Ms. Collins had died, I could barely understand her on the phone when she called to tell me. Me. Collins will be sorely missed by her students. As parents, we felt we won the lottery when our kids were in her class.

My heart is truly broken to hear this news today aboutmy friend.  I knew the family for many years as an Interfaith teacher. I was blessed to have Drew as a toddler in my classroom and when I transitioned to a three year old classroom, my number one side kick was with me again.  I also helped kid sit sometimes after Stella was born.
I grew to know Michelle as a dear friend.  What an incredible mother she was and a friend to all of the Interfaith teachers. She always did special things for us to show her gratitude for loving her babies as one of their own.
I was so proud of her decision to follow her dream of becoming a fellow educator and LOVED watching that come to be. It was indeed her truest calling outside of being an incredible mother.  
She was joyful, tough, smart, funny, determined, and determined to make her kids childhood as wonderful and magical as possible. 
We had matched back up two years ago or so when they were selling the old house to move to Magnolia and she needed a roofer and my husband was one. She and he clicked very well as friends also. She was just a genuine spirit.  
She will be truly missed. 

Please bear hug the kids for me and all the Interfaith teachers that loved this family.  If their is anything we could possibly do to help them and family, we will do it indeed.
