Our Peanut entered our lives on September 3, 2002, in Brampton, Ontario, Canada and left our world on February 6, 2023, in West Lafayette, Indiana, where she attended Purdue University, where she excelled in her studies of Psychology & Law & Society.
In between, Lauren grew up in Bolton, Ontario, Canada, until she moved with her family to The Woodlands, Texas, at the age of 9. Lauren captured the best of both her Canadian and American upbringing by being uniquely Ameri-Canadian.
Peanut had many interests, hobbies and passions that included volleyball, embroidering, pickles & tomatoes, Dunkin' Donuts runs & Starbucks Refreshers, The Beatles, George Harrison, Queen, TOM HOLLAND & ADAM DRIVER.
Peanut brightened every room she was in with her warm smile, infectious giggle and the occasional “side eye”.
Most importantly, never a day goes by without Lauren asking for pictures of her dogs, Storm, Hera & Juno. Her love of animals was only second to her love of her family and friends, where Lauren is survived by her parents, Darrin & Michelle, her loving brother AJ, loving grandparents and her extended family of her 8 aunts & uncles and 12 cousins and her many, many, many friends that she considered family.
The family will receive friends from 5 - 8:00 p.m., Monday evening, February 20, 2023 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home located at 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home. Immediately following the service, the family would like to express their thanks to you by having you join them for a reception.
As Lauren’s wings spread wide, we ask that in Lieu of Flowers, donations would be welcomed at a local Animal Rescue or Tree Planting charity within your community.
Please share your fond memories and kind expressions of sympathy with the Harkness family at forestparkthewoodlands.com.
