Judy was born in St. Paul, MN as the only child to Roy and June Nicholson, and called Houston, Texas home since 1965 after the snow melted. Judy rose to become President of Lone Star Screw Co. in 1976, and under her leadership, it grew to become a global company. She started Sigma Fasteners, Inc in 2004, where she continued to mentor so many. She retired in 2016 after 50 years as a legend in the fastener business. She also had a passion for golf and bridge, and never passed up the opportunity to put on a costume.
Judy is survived by her husband, Jerry Jandl, always by her side in business and in life, and their many travels for over 56 years; her daughter, Cris Baker, son-in-law, Bobby Baker, grandson, Loren Baker, and granddaughter, Kelcie Baker, all of whom will hold a special place in their hearts for this grand lady. Her niece, Patty Paton is among the many in her extended group of family and friends who Judy chose to share her life with, including her friends at Bentwater.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, August 18th at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home. Please bring your favorite photo of yourself with Judy so the family will always remember how many lives she touched.
