Jonathon Stuart Strife was born on November 15, 1981, in Englewood, Colorado. He passed away unexpectedly on July 27, 2019 in Houston, Texas. Jonathon spent most of his elementary school years in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from R L Paschal High School in 2000. He went on to earn a BA in Criminal Justice from Saint Edward’s University in Austin, Texas in 2006. He graduated Cum Laude as a member of the National Criminal Justice Honor Society. In 2009, he received a Master of Criminal Justice degree from Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont.
Jonathon held multiple professional licenses and certifications in the field of security. He worked for several companies in their security departments including Waste Management Corporation in Houston, Texas. He also served as an Adjunct Professor at Lone Star College in Kingwood, Texas teaching introductory courses in criminal justice. On May 12, 2012, he married his wife Alisha. When his daughter Addison was born in 2014, he left the professional workplace to become a stay-at-home-dad.
From a young age Jonathon loved guns, knives, fishing, and the outdoors. He ultimately learned to reload his own ammunition and even mastered building his own rifles. A day on the shooting range, fly-fishing on a stream in New Mexico, or camping in Big Bend National Park as a youngster were only surpassed by his love for his family.
Jonathon is survived by his wife Alisha, daughters Addison and Kerstin, sister Sara Maguire, parents Barbara and Stuart Strife, grandfather Robert Hall, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and in-laws. He was the happiest little kid you could ever know, and as an adult was a big hearted person who was kind to all and would help anyone in need without a second thought. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Visitation for Jonathon will be held from 5:00pm - 8:00pm on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 I-45S, The Woodlands, TX 77384. Funeral Service are scheduled for 10:00am on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, with burial immediately following at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
