I worked with Jesse a number of years. He was a true gentleman and a joy to work with. 

My condolences to family & friends.

My brother in law was simply the kindest, most thoughtful and loving person you could ever meet.  He was unselfish, generous, and willing to help all people.  Being in his presence was always fun, entertaining and he always left you with something to ponder.  We share countless memories; fishing, drag racing, camping, and spending days and days together helping and sharing with each other.  His loss will be impossible to fill but I thank God for the opportunity to be in his orbit.

Always a genuine person to work with.  Always had a smile and good word for everyone.  He was one of the really great SWBT managers.  We worked on projects together over the years Always a pleasure to work with

To Jesse's family and close friends ----- May you be blessed in this time of memories of Jesse.  I believe most of our joint time at Southwestern Bell / SBC was mostly  in the 1980's - He, leading a Network Operations group, and I leading a Network Engineering group.  We often came together in joint meetings and whenever a manager in his group and one in mine sought our help in resolving disagreements in work details.  Jesse was a strong leader but one I found to be open and understanding in our finding the best plans for our common enterprise.  I am happy to read here some about his faith and life apart from our "work."

To the Yates family - I worked with Jesse back in the 80's at SBC. He was as a fine a person as I've ever known. A pleasure to work with and to know - but you already know that. 

Jesse will be missed by all.

The Love Family extends their condolences to the Yates/Collins family for the passing of your dear husband, father, brother and dear loved one.  

We are praying that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ gives the family peace that surpasses all understanding and strengthen each one during this difficult season.  

We did not have the privilege of meeting brother Jesse.  However, Sis Yvonne allowed us to get to know him through the beautiful testimonies and prayer requests she made on his behalf at our church, Atherton Baptist Church's Prayer Ministry where we continuously prayed for him throughout his illness.  We also were honored to lift up his wife as caregiver and all the other family members friends, and medical professionals God entrusted to his care.

Brother Jesse is now resting in the loving arms of Jesus and there is no more sickness, sorrow or pain.  Now everyday is Sunday for Brother Jesse!!!  

We will continue to lift the family and loved ones up in prayer asking God to do only what He can do.  Weeping may endureth for a night but joy comes in the morning.

My deepest sympathy to Jessie’s family .  I worked with my great friend, Jessie, during the late 70’s-early 80’s.  Every moment in his presence was a happy moment .  Everything he touched had work ethic and honorable  painted all over it .  His signature might as well have read “I gave it my best .”   There was no better teammate than Jesse Yates.  I admired and loved him, forever will.

My precious memories are praying for and reading Brother Jessie’s name aloud from the prayer list on Tuesday nights at Atherton Baptist Church where his sister and my play sister Yvonne Collins attended.  Sister Yvonne and I are also prayer warriors in the prayer ministry and she would place Jessie’s name on the list to be read for prayer every week.  It was a joy lifting him and family in prayer.  May God’s love and protection be with the family.  We all love Sister Yvonne in the prayer ministry and admires how she passionately lifts her brother and  family up in prayer.
