Mrs. Janet Guyer

Janet survived her husbands, Thomas Swindell, deceased in 1955, and Warren Guyer, deceased in 1985. She raised her two children, Judy Webb and Bud Swindell, by herself, sometimes working three jobs. In later life she was active in the American Legion, serving as a District officer in the state of Florida. Janet loved her family and friends, spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a great cook of southern food and loved her chocolates.

Moving to The Woodlands in 2001 from Hypoluxo, Florida, she enjoyed going to the senior activities offered by Cypress Woodlands Junior Forum and was very active in the Friendship Sunday School class at First Baptist Church The Woodlands.

Janet is survived by her daughter Judy Webb and husband, Randy; her son, Bud Swindell and wife, Lori; grandson Randy Webb and his wife Vicky, and great grandchildren, Zack, Jake, Michael and Caitlin; grandson David Webb and his wife Stephanie, and great grandson Cayden; granddaughter, Heather Crow and her husband, Thomas, and great grandchildren Whitney Hood, Amy Hood, Jacob Crow, Bethany Crow, Lindsey Crow; grandson, Thomas Swindell and his wife, Ashley, and great granddaughter, Avery; and granddaughter, Abigail Swindell.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, February 23, 2014 at First Baptist Church The Woodlands, 11801 Grogan's Mill Road, The Woodlands, Texas 77380.

There will be a reception for family and friends after the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Interfaith Community Clinic: in memory of Janet Guyer, 101 Pine Manor Drive, Oak Ridge North, Texas 77385.
