Grace B. Woomer

She married E. Dorsey Woomer on July 17, 1948. Grace was a longtime resident of Baltimore, Maryland. She retired to Palm Bay, Florida, in 1985 and then relocated to The Woodlands, Texas, in 2000 to be close to her sons. She volunteered at Christ Church United Methodist and was an active member of the craft group.

Grace is preceded in death by her parents, James and Emily Burch; her two brothers, Lindsey and Russell Burch; and her husband of 46 years, Dorsey.

She is survived by her two sons and their spouses, Rusty and Janet Woomer and Jim and Kelly Woomer; three granddaughters, Christa and Melanie Woomer of Roanoke, Virginia, and Kristin Martell of The Woodlands, Texas; one grandson, Justin Martell of Austin, Texas; and two great granddaughters, Fallon and Ashton.

Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from five until eight o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, January 13, in the chapel at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 I-45 North, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. The funeral service will take place at Christ Church United Methodist on Wednesday, January 14, at eleven o’clock in the morning.
