Gary was born on November 3, 1941 in Houston, Texas. He was the second born and first son of Ralph and Hilda Lorenz. He graduated from Jeff Davis High School in 1960 and after graduation, he became a “Burnt Clay Artist” or better known as a brick mason. In 1962 he married the love of his life, Nellyne “Nell” Talley in Houston, Texas.
His career was in construction, and due to his love of the outdoors, he spent as much time as possible over the last 25 years at the Lorenz Ranch with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Hilda Lorenz and sister Shirley Bruce.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Nellyne “Nell” Lorenz; son Wesley and his wife Laura Lorenz; daughter Jennifer and her husband Shawn Cromack; and 5 grandchildren (Jordan, Cameron, Justin, Mason and Taylor).
He will be cremated and placed on the Lorenz Ranch Cemetery Hill.
