Ms. Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Ryan

Betty was born in Dubuque, Iowa on May 13th, 1931 to Hugo and Elizabeth Schroeder. She grew up there with her six sisters and one brother. In 1950 she met her husband Thomas Ryan and was married there in 1952. After they were married, they relocated to Albuquerque, NM where they lived for nearly 50 years and raised their six children. Tom and Betty were instrumental in building St. Bernadette Catholic Church and were active members of their Catholic community during those years.

Tom and Betty lived in Leesberg, FL part time before eventually moving to The Woodlands, TX. Where they enjoyed their retirement years and spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband Thomas Ryan and granddaughter Jenna Ryan.

Elizabeth is survived by her six children and their spouses Steven Ryan, William (Scott) and Linda Parks, James and Deborah Ryan, William (Bill) and Christen Ryan, Francis and Judith Apel, and Dean and Jennifer Spear. As well as thirteen grandchildren, Kari Faw, Kristine Parks, Jason Ryan, Allen Ryan, Jeramie Ryan, Matthew Spear, Sarah Spear, Michelle Garcia, Sr. Incarnata, Thomas Apel. Rebekah Apel, and Benjamin Apel.

Services for Betty will be at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Bernadette Church located at 1800 Martha St NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112. Interment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery located at 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87109.
