Donna S. Hoyt, 75, passed peacefully at Memorial Hermann Hospital of The Woodlands on February 8, 2015 after an arduous battle with cancer. Donna Mae Stephens was born April 15, 1939 in New Orleans, LA, the last survivor of the three daughters of Malcolm A. Stephens and Nancy Fortenberry Stephens. A 38 year resident of The Woodlands, TX, Donna was the loving mother of 4 daughters and doting grandmother of 10 grandchildren. She was an elegant and graceful woman who enjoyed traveling, reading, painting, and was one of Houston’s finest interior designers. She is survived by her soul mate and husband of 58 years, Max B. Hoyt; daughters: Nini, Leslie and husband Ron, Lisa and husband Gilbert, and Jennifer Jones; grandchildren: Jeffrey Chamberlin, Eric and wife Betsy Contreras, Jessica and husband Reed Johnson, Christopher and wife Kharren Woods, Kirsten and husband Raj Bandyopadhyay, Stephen Contreras, Ryan Jones, Steven Chamberlin, Taylor Contreras, Sarah Woods; great-grandchildren: Carter & Chase Johnson, TJ & Charlie Chamberlin, and Callie Contreras; and many dear friends. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at St. Simon & Jude Catholic Church at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Memorial Hermann Foundation (NICU) or the charity of your choice.
