Diane was blessed with a beautiful voice and willingly used it to lift up the Lord in song and testimony. She loved to bake and quilt every chance she got. Holidays were always extra special when Diane would show up with her award winning apple pies or pumpkin bread. Diane belonged to quilting guilds and bees for decades until 2019, creating hand-crafted works of art.
Diane graduated from Pine Tree High School in Longview, TX in 1970. In 1987, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas Woman's University with a BS degree in Vocal Music Performance with a minor in English. Her career started with 10 years in newspaper advertising, followed by 15 years as a licensed social worker in the long term care industry. Diane spent many years devoted to supporting her patients and truly loved her work. She was always an advocate for what was right. Diane was a supportive band, soccer, and softball mom, and very active in her community.
The family will be holding a memorial service at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Longview, TX at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Diane's memory to the Parkinson's Foundation at https://www.parkinson.org.
