Delana Faith Forcillo, age 63, of Bakersfield, California, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, due to complications from renal failure. Her courageous battle with illness was a testament to her strength, resilience, and unwavering love for her family.
Born on October 14, 1961, in Bakersfield, California, to James "Jim" and Cleo (Brown) Grimes, Delana was an adventurous soul who loved to travel. Though she explored many parts of the world, her favorite place was always by the beach, where she found peace and tranquility. Delana had a deep love for sunflowers, whose bright and cheerful blooms mirrored her own vibrant personality.
Delana's greatest joy was spending time with her family. She is survived by her three children: Nicole and husband Jeff Fleming, Jennifer and husband Brant Breitenbach, and Erin and husband Derek Vogel. She was a proud grandmother to Christian Mardaga, Connor Fleming, Colby Underferth, Emma Vogel, and Kennedy Breitenbach, who brought her immense happiness and joy.
Delana is also survived by her ex-husband, Mike Forcillo, who cherished and loved her deeply from the time they met in high school. She is further survived by her brother Danny and sisters Diana and Debi. Delana was preceded in death by her parents, James and Cleo Grimes, and her brother Dewayne.
Delana's warmth, kindness, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends, as a constant reminder of her love, strength, and the joy she brought into the world.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 13, 2024, at 2:00pm at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, TX 77384. Viewing will be from 12:00-2:00pm. Burial will begin at 3:00pm, with a reception from 3:30pm to 5:30pm following burial.
