DEBORAH ANN WILCOX was called home to the Lord on August 20, 2010. The eldest of six children, she was born in Queens, New York on June 7, 1954, and was raised on Long Island. She served honorably in the United States Navy where she was stationed in San Diego, California, Panama, Cuba and Guam. After leaving the service, she moved to Houston, Texas, where she founded and operated a successful commercial and residential HVAC service company, Houston Climate Control. She was a volunteer for the Galveston Historical Foundation and a member of Leadership Galveston, along serving as a member of the BPWA, the Better Business Bureau and the Galveston Citizen’s Police Association. Deborah was a loving and giving mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her son Jonathan, her grandchildren Gabriel and Gavin, her father Anthony A. Barriere, her sister Kathleen Gonzalez, her brothers Anthony, Michael, James and Joseph Barriere and her dear friends Alex Harris and Georgia A. Nelson.
