Born in Racine Wi. in 1951, Chris lived in The Woodlands, TX with her family for the past 39 years.
Chris attended Marquette University, and had a successful, long career of 22 years with Continental Airlines where she made lifelong friends. Chris was always helping and serving others. She worked and volunteered throughout her life in The Woodlands, TX and surrounding communities while raising her three children. She was always helping in local schools, coached numerous youth sports teams over many years, and served as a mediator and fundraiser for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). Chris was an integral part of expanding youth sports programs in the area with the local YMCA in South County/The Woodlands and notably helping bring Women’s Soccer to The Woodlands (McCullough) High School.
In more recent years, Chris was a passionate, founding member of St. Isidore's Episcopal Church where she loved spending much of her time. She was very active in the church’s outreach activities with the Abundant Harvest Kitchen. She loved cooking and participating in the food preparation efforts and was integral in the Abundant Harvest Food Truck distribution to the local community after Hurricane Harvey.
Chris also led the Laundry Love Program where she cherished the meaningful relationships with the people she served. She touched the hearts of many in the community and was always focused on bringing care and tangible services to people in need with dignity and respect.
She is survived by her loving husband of fifty one years, Gordon Albrecht; son, Aaron Albrecht; son, Benjamin & wife, Katherine Albrecht; and daughter, Sarah and husband Arnold Asuncion. In addition, she is survived by her four grandchildren; Ashbey Asuncion, Avery Asuncion, Emma Mae Albrecht, and Lyla Grace Albrecht who she dearly loved and enjoyed.
A Memorial Service will be held on July 23, 2022 at Trinity Episcopal Church in The Woodlands, TX at 10:30am.
