Bill J. Bohannan passed away peacefully on April 19, 2014, at Woodlands Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born January 30, 1926, in Marietta TX, and was a longtime resident of The Woodlands, TX. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Bill was a Navy Veteran of World War II, serving his country aboard the USS YMS 246. Bill took part in invasions of Iwo Jima, Okinawa and others. Bill was a graduate of Naples High School and Texas Christian University. After graduation, Bill was a long time employee of Lone Star Steel Company, working for the company in both Dallas and Midland. After retiring from Lone Star Steel, Bill was a Real Estate Broker. He and his wife Patsy were co-owners and partners in Bohannan Realtors in Midland, TX. In 1988, Bill and Patsy moved to The Woodlands, Texas, where they were active members of the community and he was an avid golfer.
Bill was a devoted husband and he cherished his family. He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years Patsy Bohannan; his children: daughter Marcy Johnson and her husband Mike, son Bill Bohannan, Jr. and his wife Sherry; daughter Carol “Bo” Halter and her husband Frank: his grandchildren: Eric Johnson and wife Irina; Jodi Rutledge and husband Matt; Brittany Boyd and husband Joey; Chance Mock, Chase Mock and Trevor Mock; and great-grandchildren Macy Rutledge, Landon Rutledge, Vivian Johnson, Jaclyn Johnson and Cash Mock.
