Anita became my friend in 2004 when I reached out on Classmates.com to friends of the First Grade graduation class of Liceo Ponceño 1945.  Her first husband, who had passed away, was one of my classmates.  She graciously responded to my request and connected me to several of my fellow graduates.  One of them sent me a photo of me and our classmates on stage on that graduation day.  Another made me an honorary member of Los Amigos de la Plaza.  I was so grateful to Anita.   We continued our online conversations and exchanged photos for many years.  I was saddened to learn that she had passed.  May she rest in peace.

I first met Anita in 2004 when I found a picture of my Liceo Ponceño first grade graduation invitation.  It listed the namesof my classmates.  The name Carbone led me to Anita.  She was so sweet and kind.  Over the years we became good friends and shared many memories of our childhood in Ponce.  It is only now that I am learning Anita has passed.  I will miss you, my dear one.

I had the pleasure of working with Annie in San Juan, Puerto Rico during the eighties. She was "ALWAYS" in a "GREAT MOOD" and made working with her enjoyable. I also had the pleasure of working with her husband, Victor Gonzalez and they were meant for each other. She is missed by all that knew her and Betsy and I express our sincere condolences to Victor and the entire family.

Victor, I am the daughter of Gudelia Rodriguez, Ana Elisa's cousin.  Ana Elisa was my mom's favorite cousin and always talked about her with great love until her memory faded away. I personally never meet you but my mom talked so much about your visits that I feel like I know you. Our condolece to you and your family. I pray that God will give everyone in the family strenght and peace during this dificult time.

I met Annie when I moved to Los Frailes Condo in Puerto Rico . We clicked from the beginning. I’ll miss her although far from each other we would text every day.

Victor, "Rex" and Family, I am so lucky to live next door to the BEST Neighbors ever! Whenever I would see Victor and Annie, Victor would put his arm around Annie and she would look up into his eyes and him down at her and you could see the love they had for each other, still, after 40 years together. I would tell them both..."I want what you two have one day".  Thank you for showing me what true love looks like. I think this photo from a neighborhood party 3 weeks ago says it all. Victor and family, I was so shocked to see this. I had the honor of knowing you, Annie and your family for many years.  There are so many fond and wonderful  memories of us all living on Chartwell Court. Annie’s smile was infectious. Annie had a way of always making the world a brighter place. She was one of the most  kindest,  generous and caring people I have ever met.   We were so very blessed to have you all as our neighbors  and  extended family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To Victor and the large and loving family of Annie Gonzalez.  Annie and I met at IBM in the late 1990's.  We were both retired from IBM and had returned as part-time employees.  When we met, we fast became friends.  And then Annie, Victor, Fred (my bf), and I got together occasionally and socialized.  

Annie and I had fun working together and even as "almost" little old ladies, still finding a way to get into mischief and make our jobs interesting and lively.  Gosh!  Could that possibly have been 20 years ago?!  It seems like yesterday.  She was always so helpful and dedicated as an employee, did great work, and was a loyal friend.  We kept in touch as much as our busy lives would allow it.  And she and Victor have always been there for me all these years.  I had just spoken to her only a few days before she passed away.  As usual, she was cheerful and positive.  And she was "extra criaspy!"  That's a description she herself created while we worked together.  She used it about our boss.  So, I'm using it about her!  It was such a shock to learn of her passing.  

I can still see  the twinkle in her eye  and that beautiful smile that would cover her face when something struck her as funny.  Even though we were separated these last many years by many miles,  I will miss her.  We remained in touch and were close friends.  I am sorry for the loss of your wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  May she Rest in Peace.  I will keep you all in my prayers.

Victor, I am so sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your family. I know you will find the strength to persevere. Annie will stay in the hearts and minds of everyone lucky enough to have met her.

Una luchadora con un alma muy amorosa . Nunca se rindió. Muy agradecida de haberla conocido. Todas las mañanas me compartía un mensaje por whats app y yo le respondía por la noche. Era una hermosa rutina al “buen día”yo respondía con “buenas noches”. Nunca voy a quitar sus últimos mensajes de flores y corazones. Me gustaba reírme con sus chistes. You already dearly missed! And always will be. Love you always 

I never had the honor of meeting Annie in person but through social media I 'met' her. Her love for Victor, her children & grandchildren was shown through photos!! Rest in peace, Annie, you will be greatly missed. ❤️💐

I will always remember Annie as a wonderful human being.   She and Victor always came to my birthday BBQ and her infectious smile was always much appreciated by all.   Kathy and I wish our condolences to Victor and family and that Annie may rest in peace.
