With hearts filled with sorrow we announce that Albert Rex Bass has passed away. He was born October 7, 1933 in Del Rio, Texas, and lived most of his life in Houston. Albert left this world July 31, 2012, at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by his mother, Flounoy Payne; his father, Etheridge Bass; his sisters Rita Hart and Margie Hanson; and his grandchildren, Rudy and Michelle Huffman. He is survived by his loving wife, Margarita; three children, Betty Stephens (John), Tammy Bass and Albert Rex Bass Jr. (Tara); ten grandchildren, Nicholas (Michelle), Jessica, Melody, and James Stephens, Rena Jimenez (Antonio), Amber and Leann Huffman, Aaron, Calin, and Shane Bass; five great-grandchildren, Jeff Stephens, Kylie Pittman, Julianna Stephens, Allison and Nicholas Moore-Bodinger; and numerous nephews and nieces, as well as many friends. His loss has left the world wanting.
Funeral services are set for 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 4, 2012 in the Chapel at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time. There will be a reception following the service at the funeral home.
