He graduated Texas High School in 1954 and enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served for 20 years. After retiring from the Air Force, he briefly sold real estate before taking a career at the Texarkana Federal Correctional Institution from which he retired. He was a member of the Masons. He married Mary F. Ables in Hugo, OK in 1966, they were married 54 years. His interests include fishing, camping, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary F. Wyatt, and his daughter, Vickie Cannon.
He is survived by daughter, Debbie Webb and husband Mike, of Texarkana, AR, step daughter, Carmen Romo, of Dallas, TX, two grandsons, Mike Dossey and wife, Nicole, of Fort Worth, TX, Johnny Walls, of Fort Worth, TX, four great granddaughters, Samantha Dossey, Lizzie Dossey, Natalie Dossie, and Allie Dossey, of Fort Worth, TX, and two nephews, Blake Hill, of Marshall, TX, and Kenneth Hill and wife Kay, of Marshall, TX.
Graveside services will be Friday, September 25th, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Eylau Community Cemetery beside Eylau Baptist Church.
Come and go visitation will be from 10 AM to 6 PM, Thursday, September 24, 2020 at East Funeral Home - Downtown.
