Kathy was born January 16, 1960, in Texarkana, Arkansas to Bob and Geneva Bowen. Kathy attended school in Fouke, Arkansas. She lived in both Houston and Longview, Texas for several years but eventually moved back and made Texarkana her home. Her favorite job was being a nurse’s assistant when she worked in a nursing home. She always had a soft spot in her heart for anyone less fortunate than herself, especially the elderly.
Kathy left behind her daughter Merranda Kimble and son-in-law Casey Page, her grandchildren Isaac Kimble, Alana and Haley Clark, her mother Geneva Bowen, her two sisters Judy Townes, Anita Minor and brother-in-law David; brother Bobby Bowen and sister-in-law Becky; several nephews and nieces, aunts, cousins and many many friends.
Kathy was preceded in death by her son Joshua Kimble, her father Bob Bowen, grandparents on both the Bowen and Larey side of the families.
Kathy was so kind and loving and she never met a stranger. Her best attributes were her quick wit and sense of humor. She had a special ability to make anyone laugh. She loved Jesus, music and singing and mostly she loved her family BIG. Our beloved Kathy will be deeply missed here on earth but we believe heaven gained a beautiful soul.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 1pm at East Funeral Home on Moores Lane in Texarkana, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kathy’s honor to Hospice of Texarkana, 2407 Galleria Oaks Dr., Texarkana, Texas as we are especially thankful to the staff for taking such loving care of Kathy her final days and hours.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.eastfuneralhomes.com for the Page family.
