Jimmie "Pops" Cornelius, Sr., age 75, of Nash, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022. Pops was born October 23, 1946 in Texarkana, TX. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in the Vietnam War and retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Virginia Cornelius; daughter, Angela Kay Cornelius; son, Brian Paul Cornelius; brother, Dan Cornelius, parents, Jim Neal and Gleneva Cornelius.
Survivors include his son,Terry Cornelius of Nash, TX; daughter, Michelle Wood of Nash, TX; son, Jimmie Cornelius, Jr. of Texarkana, TX; grandchildren, Justin Griffin and wife, Lakyn of Genoa, AR and Kailen Daniel and husband, Harrison of Tulsa, OK and Jesse Cornelius; great grandchildren. Ashton Griffin of Wake Village, TX, Zayla Griffin of Genoa, AR, Liam Daniel, Lucas Daniel, Winston Daniel and Maddie Daniel all of Tulsa, OK.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
