He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Young and son Joseph Young.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, John and Michelle Young and Josh and Brandy Young; four brothers, Joe Young, Otis Young, Ronnie Young and Simon Young; sister, Lovella Boswell; grandchildren, John Young, Jr., Josh Young, Jr., Tabby Boswell and Sierra Young; two great grandchildren, Roman Boswell and Honey Boswell; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10 a.m., Saturday March 25, 2023 at Full Gospel Tabernacle with Rev. Larry Bracknell, Sr. and Larry Bracknell, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
