Helen J. Bruce

Helen Bruce, 91, of Texarkana, TX passed away December 1, 2011 in a local nursing home. Mrs. Bruce was born December 14, 1919 in Texarkana, AR. She was a homemaker and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bruce; and a son, Robert Clinton Bruce, Jr.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and Bill Garrison of Russleville, AR, Sandra Bruce of Texarkana, TX and Judy and Mike Roten of Russleville, AR; sisters, Christine Hobbs of Garland, TX, Julia Zamora and Margarite Zamora of Texarkana, TX, Cathrine Bush of Texas and Evelyn Horn of Monroe, LA; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Steven Duyka officiating. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2011 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
