Frank A. Symonds Jr.

Frank A. Symonds, Jr., 76, of Texarkana, TX passed away August 20 2013 at his home. Mr. Symonds was born May 22, 1937 in Texarkana, AR. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army National Guard. Mr. Symonds retired from Cooper Tire & Rubber Company. He was a member of Centre West Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma Jean Symonds; and a son, Mike Lawrence.

Survivors include his sons, Jeff Symonds of Redwater, TX and Steven Symonds of Red Lick, TX; brothers, Joe Symonds of Austin, TX and Billy Symonds of Ft. Worth, TX; sister, Sue Wright of FL; grandchildren, Steffanie Harris, Gerald Symonds, Brittany Symonds, Nathaniel Symonds, Joel Symonds, Erika Symonds, Joshua Symonds, Drew Lawrence and Trevor Lawrence; and 7 great grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2013 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with Rev. Josh Bishop officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2013 at the funeral home.
