Eloise Smith, 91, of Texarkana died Monday November 26, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Smith was born on January 1, 1921 in Ft Smith, AR. She was retied from Newcourt Inc. Eloise was a member of Lowell Street Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents J.D. and Annie Shaw, one brother Calvin Francis, sister Christine Norman and one great grandson Timothy Lewis.
Survivors include her daughter Esther Ward; sister Mary M. Martin; four grandchildren Kathy Lawrence, Clyde "Rusty" Pryor, Jr., David Pryor and Joe Dee Ward; one sister-in-law Sylvia Francis, eight great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 1pm Thursday, November 29, 2012 at East Memorial Gardens with Rev. John Bryant officiating. Burial will be under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday November 28, 2012 at East Funeral Home-Downtown.
