Eugene loved to be outdoors whether it was fishing or hunting to spending hours upon hours on his tractor.
If he wasn't outside working on something then he was spending time with the light of his life, his grandchildren. Eugene proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1962. After that he married the love of his life, Norene of 47 years. Eugene had a big heart and loved people.
He is preceded in death by his wife Norene (Anderson) Vanover; parents, Manuel and Elsie Vanover; sister Margie Gage; nephew Jeffery Wright and brother in law Roger Maynard.
Those left with cherished memories are his children Brad Vanover and wife Courtney and daughter Deborah Allison and husband Coy; five grandchildren: Jaxson Vanover, Samuel Allison, Evan Lindsey, Valton Allison and Amelia Allison; three sisters: Marie Maynard, Lillian and husband Earl Prosser and Loraine and husband Dave Domagalski along with a host of nieces, nephews and other beloved family and friends who will miss him greatly.
A visitation for Eugene will be held Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home in Kaufman, TX. The funeral service will occur Monday, May 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM, at Anderson Clayton Bros. in Kaufman, TX followed by a graveside service at Highland Memorial Gardens, in Terrell, Texas where he will be laid to rest beside his wife Norene.
