Betty Jean Brinkley

Betty Jean Brinkley passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018 in the comfort of her home in Forney, Texas surrounded by family and friends. She was born to John Elmer Ralston and Ortha Childers Ralston Burran in Emory, Texas on May 1, 1938.

Betty loved her family, the great outdoors, camping, fishing, bowling, golf, softball, volleyball, sewing, crafts, board games, gospel music and celebrating holidays with family around a table full of home cooked food.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Mack Brinkley; fathers, John Elmer Ralston and Henry Elvis Burran; mother, Ortha Ralston Burran; daughter, Cathy Stapleton; son, Scotty Stapleton; sister, Johnetta Moore; brother, Roger Ralston.

Betty is survived by her two children, Lauri Brinkley Fitzgerald & husband Kevin; Bobby Brinkley & wife Robyn; brother, Russ Burran; sisters, Cynthia Blazer and Deborah Whisner; grandchildren, Skye Stapleton, Sahvanna Loper, Brandon Fitzgerald, Ty Brinkley, Jon Brinkley, Beau Brinkley and Carrissa Brinkley; great grandchildren, Emma Stapleton, Izabell Stapleton, Kane Loper, Haddi Loper, & Mack Loper; & numerous nieces, nephews, & other extended family to cherish her memory.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Terrell, Texas with interment immediately following at Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell, Texas. Visitation will be on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Terrell, Texas.
