Rebecca Jo Bedwell

Becky was born in Keokuk, Iowa to Paul Richter and Francis (Zahr) Richter on May 10, 1946.

She was a 1964 high school graduate of Lewiston High School in Lewiston, Illinois, and a graduate of Ivy Tech College in Terre Haute, where she received her nursing degree. Becky was a very dedicated and compassionate LPN for many years in the OB Department of Vermillion County Hospital in Clinton and also worked at Hamilton Center and Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.

On June 23, 1979, Becky married her one true love, Kenneth R. Bedwell Sr. and raised 4 children together.

Becky is survived by her devoted, loving husband, Ken; daughter, Billie Jo Conner (James); sons: Bradley Hamilton, Kenneth Bedwell Jr. (Ruth), and Kirk Bedwell (Christy); along with 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers; Bill Richter of Lewiston, Illinois and Steve Richter of Peoria, Illinois.

Becky loved being outdoors. Spring and Fall were her favorite seasons when she loved planting and tending to her flowers and garden and watching the leaves change color. She was the queen of naps and also enjoyed a good Irish Coffee in the afternoon. Although she had many hobbies, her favorite by far was spending time with her family and lifelong friends, George and Roseann Nicholas.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Paul and Francis Richter; brother Joe Richter; and her loyal dog Duke.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 12-2pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. Service will begin at 2pm. A graveside service will follow immediately after at Roselawn Memorial Park, where Becky will be laid to rest.
