James Leonard Silver, 64, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014, in Union Hospital, Terre Haute. He was the Inventory Readiness Manager for NACCO Materials Handling in Danville, IL, where he was employed since 1983.
Jim was born June 26, 1949, in Cleveland, TN, to Jesse and Alma (Payne) Silver. His family returned to Terre Haute in 1951. Jim was a 1967 graduate of Gerstmeyer High School, a USAF Veteran, and a 1983 graduate of Indiana State University.
Survivors include: his son, Jon William Silver of Terre Haute, Jon's wife, Holly, and their children, Lauryn and Natalie; his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Tyler of Holt, FL, Jennie's husband, Jay, and their children, Peyton and Ella; his beloved dog, Ruby, and Jim's longtime friend, Colleen Chestnut.
Additional survivors are brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Alma Silver of Baltimore, MD; Don and Linda Silver of Grand Prairie, TX; Paul and Carolyn Silver of Terre Haute; Steve and Jackie Silver of Terre Haute; and Tom and Laurie Silver of Blaine, MN, and sisters and brothers-in-law: Susie and Jeff Holcomb of Terre Haute and Anita and Steve Walter of Danville, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2013, at Roselawn Funeral Home, 7500 North Clinton Street, Terre Haute, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to the time of services.
