Clifford Ross Simpson, 89, of Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born on October 3, 1932, in Terre Haute, to George and Mary Alice Simpson. Clifford received his Master’s Degree from Indiana State University. He retired from Ethyl VisQueen as a Quality Control Analyst after 40 years of hard work and dedication. Clifford became a proud co-founder and partner in the family business, Stonehouse Construction. Clifford is survived by his five children: Carla Webb-Dardamanis, Craig Simpson, Douglas Simpson, Gordon Simpson (Nikki), and Andrew Simpson (Leslie Bailey); eight grandchildren: Brandon Webb, Kyle Simpson, Cory Simpson, Nathan Simpson, Nicole Hamer, Aaron Simpson, Nash Simpson, and Lexi Simpson; and his eight great-grandchildren: Navy, Axel, Audrina, Kai, Miya, Ivy, Scarlet, and Leela. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 57 years, Helen Aletha Simpson; his two brothers, Richard and Philip Simpson; and two sons-in-law, Melvin Webb and Fotios Dardamanis. Clifford was a member of The First Church of Christ, Scientist. He was a founding member of the Indiana State University chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity. He was a member of the American Society of Quality Control (ASQC). Clifford gave his time and care to the Terre Haute Children’s Museum for many years. He also enjoyed gardening and taking care of his flowers. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until noon on Monday, August 29 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will take place at noon, on Monday, at the funeral home. A graveside service with Military Honors will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Clifford will be laid to rest next to his loving wife, Helen, in Roselawn Memorial Park.
