Beth Ann (Yatsko) Blackburn, 51 of Terre Haute went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 29, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. She was born February 20, 1968 in Terre Haute to Robert and Margaret Ann (Kosco) Yatsko who preceded her in death.
Beth is survived by her husband of 31 years, Bobby; sister Cindy Fuchs; brother Robert A. Yatsko and several nieces and nephews, cousins and their children.
Beth was a 1986 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo. Having no children of her own, Beth chose not to work an average job. Instead, she chose to help raise and nurture the children around her. Beth took care of other’s children when they were not able to themselves. In doing so, she was able to share her love and affection that she had to dozens of children and make a positive impact on their lives. Beth also had a deep love of animals, especially cats. She never turned away a stray, instead tried to love and care for them. Her cats were her companions, especially when she became ill. They were her therapy. Beth was a strong woman in character. Even though she had a debilitating illness for 20 years, she rarely complained. Beth would be the first to tell you that her strength came not from herself, but from her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s Beth’s legacy. Her faith, love and strength will remain with all who knew her for years to come. Beth has left a void in this world that will be hard to fill.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be Friday, August 2, 2019 at 1:00PM in the funeral home with Rev. Paul Carey officiating. Beth will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park.
