William John Dorsey, II William John Dorsey, II, 51 of Belton died Monday April 2, 2007 at his residence. Services for Mr. Dorsey will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday April 7, 2007 at the Temple Bible Church in Temple with Rev. Gary DeSalvo officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Mr. Dorsey was born in New York City, New York February 29, 1956 the son of William John and Genevieve Knowles Dorsey, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army from 1974-1977 at Fort Hood, Texas. He was employed with the Temple Police Department from December 1977 until October 2000. In 2002 he became a Sales associate with Time Warner Cable. He attended the Temple Bible Church in Temple. He is survived by his son William John "Trey" Dorsey, III of Fort Drum, New York his daughter Meghan N. Dorsey of Fayetteville, North Carolina two sisters Elizabeth Gordon of Ellenville, New York and Janet Parra of Hollywood, Florida, as well as, three brothers Louis Parra of Hollywood, Florida Tommy Dorsey of Belton, Texas and Jimmy Dorsey of Hollywood, Florida. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Temple D.A.R.E. % Temple Police Department 105 South 5th Street Temple, Texas 76501. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home of Temple is in charge of arrangements.
