April 23, 2010 OBITUARY THOMAS JEFFERSON COLWELL Mr. Thomas Colwell 88, of Waco and formerly of Troy died Friday April 23, 2010 in a Temple hospital. Services for Mr. Colwell will be held at 1:00 PM Monday April 26, 2010 at the Hewitt Community Church in Hewitt with Rev. Ken Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Pendleton Cemetery. Mr. Colwell was born in Zavalla Texas the son of L.B. and Artie Windsor Colwell. He married Lela LaVerne Graham on June 24, 1942. He lived in Troy for thirty years prior to moving to Waco in January 2008. He worked as an oil pipe liner for Atlantic Richfield for over 32 years before his retirement. He was a member of Hewitt Community Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Lela, June 11, 2008, and daughter, Judy Lancaster, May 12, 2006. Survivors include one sister, Lois Bellamy of Lufkin, and one sister in law. Winifred Colwell of LaPorte, two daughters Nancy Bales and husband Bill of Temple, Theresa Riley and her husband Ken of Waco, son in law Jerry Lancaster and wife Paula of Oenaville, 9 grandchildren Andrew bales and wife Diana of Salt Lake City, Utah, Averie Riley Devenport and husband Shane of Georgetown, Caleb Bales of Waco, Jerrod Lancaster of Oenaville, Arielle Riley Kertesz and husband Austin of Waco, Jenna Lancaster Metcalf and husband Dustin of Oenaville, Seth Bales of Huntsville, Elizabeth Odom of Waxahachie, Cardo Odom of Oenaville and one great grandchild, Gwynn Riley Devenport of Georgetown and several nieces and nephews.
