Funeral services for Roberto Garza, 54, of Temple will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Elwyn Johnston officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Mr. Garza died Sunday in a Temple hospital. Mr. Garza was born in Temple to Susano Garza and Sarah Garcia Garza. He lived in Temple all of his life. He worked in the home construction business and was a steel worker, having worked for American Spincast and Centrifugal Casting. He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God. Mr. Garza was preceded in death by his wife Tammy and by one son Robert E. Lee Garza. Survivors include one son Jake E. Lee Garza of Temple, two step-sons Joseph Valadez and Jordan Valadez both of California; four step-daughters Jackie Aguillon of New Mexico, Jena Valadez of California, Janell Valadez of Belton and Joal Bryant of California; two brothers Sam Garza and his wife Patricia of Temple and Arthur Garza and his wife Zelda of Temple; one sister Frances Rodriquez of Temple and twelve grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
