Robert was a man of few words. His deep love for his wife and family was always clear. He embodied the best qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit and a helping hand that could be seen in his quiet actions towards others. Robert will always be remembered for his love for his family, his work ethic, and his hobbies few of which included fishing, being a proud supporter of the Republican party and Trump and working on his land in the country. He had a knack for looking at something or having an idea and being able to build it to perfection. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of his life experiences and he could fix or build just about anything. He was always one step ahead. One could often hear someone in the family saying “It’s a Parker thing”.
Robert began his career at an early age and found his calling for construction. He worked at several companies before joining Joeris General Contractors as a Superintendent in May of 2018. He oversaw many large projects and mentored numerous rising talents in his role. Robert was committed to safety and earned the Gault Robinson Safety Award for the Austin division in March 2022. His love for construction never waivered.
Memorial Services will be held on February 24, 2024 at 11:00 am at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home located at 3220 S. 31st Street Temple, TX 76502.
In typical Robert way, with no frills and his country ways, you know Robert would say “do not go get any of those fancy clothes” and wear your boots and jeans.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made at the memorial service and charitable donations can be made directly to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Robert’s memory.
