Peggy Dawn Block, a long-time resident of the Richardson area, died peacefully at her home on Sunday the 6th of September. Born in 1932 in Troy, Texas, Peggy graduated from Troy High School before marrying Bill Block and moving to Richardson, Texas. After raising two children, Peggy worked for the Richardson ISD before retiring in 1987. Peggy was a gifted painter, enjoyed her travels to the beach and so loved her two Chows, Bear and Ely. She was looking forward to becoming a great grandmother in October to her first great grandson. Peggy leaves behind her dear friend, Maxine Coulon, many friends in the Richardson area including those at El Dorado and several high school buddies from Troy. Peggy is survived by her devoted daughter, Terri and her husband Buck Baccus of Wimberley, Texas. Peggy leaves several grandchildren, Chelsea Baccus, Hayley (Nicholas) Reinert, Jake Baccus and Christopher Block. Peggy was predeceased by her husband Bill, parents Ely and Flossie Spohn and her beloved son, Stephen Block (Sarah). There will be a Memorial Service at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 12th. A graveside service will follow at Roberts Cemetery in Troy, Texas.
