HAROLD LYNN PALMER Harold L. Palmer, 70, of Irving and formerly of Temple died Tuesday July 6, 2010 in an Irving, Texas care center. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday July 10, 2010 at the Floca Pavilion at Hillcrest Cemetery with Reverend Ernest Thompson officiating. Mr. Palmer was born February 21, 1940 in Temple, Texas the son of Wilburn and Kathleen Scott Palmer. Mr. Palmer was a life long truck driver and had worked for Virco in Conway, Arkansas as well as Calpine Containers of Yuma Arizona. Mr. Palmer was preceded in death by his father in 1995. Mr. Palmer is survived by his mother of Temple; two sons Tony (Mary Kay) Palmer of Sheridan, AR, Steven Palmer of Conway, AR and two daughters Debbie (Doug) Palmer-Odom of Greenbriar, AR and Rae Dean (Chad) Burford of Quitman, AR three sisters Glenda (Jimmy) Gabbert of Beeville, TX Carolyn (Bill) Webb of Greenbriar, AR and Connie (Melvin) Koenig of Temple and two brothers Wayne Palmer of Summerville,SC and Bobby (Jenna) Palmer of Troy, Texas; Six Grandchildren and six great-granddaughters. A time of visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Friday July 9, 2010 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple. The family requests that memorials may be made to the Clinical Research and Education Fund 1320 West Walnut Hills Irving, Texas 75038. Serving as pallbearers will be Melvin Koenig, Trent Koenig, Robert Scott, Billy Don Slayton, Justin Webb, Bill Webb and Brian Dale Palmer. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
