Carol D. Taylor, age 72, of Temple, Texas passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at a local hospital. She was born on February 14, 1952 in Temple, Texas the daughter of Douglas and Aileen (Hollas) Beck.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 11:00am at Moffat Cemetery, 13956 TX-36, Moody, TX 76557.
Carol was a graduate of Temple High School in 1970, earned a Bachelor of Accountancy from The University of Mary Hardin Baylor, worked as an accountant for Centex Ready Mix, Wilson Art, and currently for Troys Auto Care in Temple. On May 9, 2005 Carol married Daniel E. Taylor in Temple, Texas. She was a lifelong member of the Central Texas Sportsman’s Club, worked Bingo at Temple VFW Post 1820, and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents Douglas and Aileen Beck and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by her husband Daniel of Temple, children, Jennifer Martinez of Morgan’s Point Resort, Texas, Shannon Halterman of Belton, and Sean Taylor of Temple, grandchildren, Joe “BJ” Ortiz III and wife Krystal of Belton, Alexis “Lexi” Garcia of Temple, Kayla Palmer of Temple, Dustin Howell and wife Abbi of Moffat, Keyara Halterman of Belton, and Caitlyn Taylor of Temple, and great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, JT, Jo’Ziah, Carlos, Miia, Adalynn “Addie”, Colton, Elliana, Joycelynn, and Liam. Carol is also survived by her brother Gary Beck and wife Ruthie of Moffat, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Larry Taylor and wife Becky of Troy, nephews Kelly Beck and Kory Beck, and 2 great nieces, 5 great nephews, and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the Moffat Cemetery Association or to St. Jude would be appreciated.
