She graduated from Hialeah High School in 1966. Worked in the Postal Service where she met the love of her life John Murphy. Worked off and on throughout her life in the postal service as well as child care but her primary focus was family. She enjoyed quilting, crafting, gardening, coaching soccer, anything Tolkien related and of course her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 31 years, John Murphy; her sister, Sandy Peters; and stepfather, Leo Carey.
Sharon is survived by her sons, John Murphy, Jr. (Debi) and Russell Murphy (Suzie); daughter, Kelleigh Killen (Jay); sister, Patricia Barnard; and grandchildren, Tom, Jim, Casey and Ian Murphy and Robbie, John and Kaitlyn Killen.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 7, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 11:00 AM, at Blount & Curry, Terrace Oaks, 12690 N. 56th Street, Temple Terrace, Florida 33617. Interment in Millwood Cemetery, Reddick, Florida
