Though he is no longer with us, Peter's memory lives on through the family he leaves behind, a testament to the love and joy he brought to their lives.
He was a sweet, kind, and loving person. He loved his family and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Anyone new that he met, he would have them smiling from ear to ear within minutes of meeting him. His doctors loved him, they would ask him, Peter how are you feeling today and he would reply with a weather pattern based on his mood. If he was feeling okay he would reply, “fair to cloudy”. If he was not feeling well, he would reply, “cloudy with a chance of a few scattered showers”.
He had you laughing and smiling all the time. His silly and childlike personality, especially as he aged became his strongest trait. He loved sports and enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams. He loved the New York Yankees and would have the baseball games on frequently. He also loved cricket and was always supporting the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
He loved his Hindu religion and as he got older took a keen interest in learning more about it. He was a Sai Baba devotee and would listen to his stories constantly. In his older age, he would speak of love and peace often. He was in search of the truth of this world and considered himself very spiritual. He delighted in listening to stories of God and singing His glories.
He leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love, warmth, and kindness. He was loved by all that knew him and will be dearly missed.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 6 PM to 8 PM. The funeral service followed by cremation will begin at 9 AM on Sunday, September 29, 2024.
