I'm sorry to hear of David's death.

I've known David C Peterson almost as many years (51) as I have known his brother and my childhood best friend James C Peterson.  Growing up and spending countless hours and days at the bustling Peterson household in Temple Terrace always proved exciting.  As I’d ride up to the house on my bicycle during grammar school years,  David would greet me: ‘Hello Jackie, Jimmy’s out back’.  In my high school & college years in the 1980’s I’d drive up to find David, older brother Bob, and their dad in the front driveway busily rebuilding cars. 

David was often the instigator in introducing new technology into the Peterson household. He would prod his father to purchase cutting edge products. My first exposures to personal computers (Commodore Vic), Laserdisc player (the precursor to DVD), and video games all occurred due to David’s interest in these areas.   Besides technology he possessed a passion and in-depth knowledge of geography and travel. I recall at least two separate car trips where David, Bob, and their father shared driving responsibilities from Florida to Alaska. Only 4,600 miles there,  4,600 miles back, and in a car they’d recently rebuilt. David was a very kind, caring, and gentle soul. He possessed a deep, hearty laugh that was truly infectious. I will miss you, my brother. May you rest in peace.
