Phillip Leal Jr. was born on July 20, 1953 in Houston, Texas to Phillip G. Leal Sr. and Felipa Gonzales.
During his teenage years, Phillip Jr. was a migrant worker. He then pursued a career as a professional Glazier worker, working for Floyd's Glass Company, eventually leading him to join the Glazier Union. He moved his family to Maryland, then back to Taylor where he went on to work for Leal's Concrete Service for over 13 years.
He married Louisa Lopez on November 23, 1974 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taylor. To this marriage came 1 child Phillip Leal Ill.
Along with his love for his family, he also enjoyed fishing, umpiring, and making those around him laugh. But above all, Phillip was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan!

Phillip G. Leal Sr., Felipa Gonzales, stepmother Connie Leal, along with sisters Susie Ybarra and Dianna Leal. He is survived by his lovely wife of 47 years Louisa; son Phillip Ill and his wife Ashley, brothers and spouses: Andres Sr. (Pauline), Jacinto Sr. {Sylvia), Rudy (Marki), Scott (Angel),
Joe (Laurie), Michael (Lety) and Paul Lee
(Michelle). His sisters and their spouses: Mary Jane (Ruben), Letecia (Arthur) and Trini (Manuel Jr.) and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.

Visitation: 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday August 25, 2021 at Condra Funeral Home
Funeral: 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Thursday, August 26, 2021 with burial following at Guadalupe Cemetery.
