He joined the US Air Force in 1952 and during his tour at MacDill he met the love of his life Rosalie (Lily) Ippolito. They were married 67 years. Vincent is survived by his daughter Vicki Howcroft (Gary), son Vincent M. Vespa, grandson Christopher Howcroft (Nilka), and great-grandson CJ. He is also survived by his brother Robert Vespa (Hanne) who resides in Germany, his sister Jean Ciao (Fred) of Ivy Land Pennsylvania, also numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Mario and Rose Vespa. Vincent retired as a field engineer from TECO after 36 years. Vince and Lily enjoyed traveling the world with their best friends Ann and Joe Voskerichian. Vincent loved playing golf, watching baseball and football on TV, and doing crossword puzzles. He often enjoyed his Cafe Con Leche and Cuban toast from Café Caribe. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his name to Give.Moffitt.org.
A Visitation for Vincent will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. An Entombment will be at the Garden of Memories Cemetery immediately following service.
