Thomas (Tom) LoPresti, 83, of Tampa Florida, passed away on March 30, 2018, surrounded by family. Tom was born January 8, 1935 to Nicholas LoPresti and Josephine LoCarro, in Passaic, New Jersey. He retired from the military after serving 22 years in the US Air Force, with assignments in the U.S., England, Canada, and Germany. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Molly (Evans) LoPresti; daughter Josephine (Ken Smith); son Nicholas (Patty); daughter Kim (Ron Johnson); six grandchildren (Brian, James, Chris, Rachael, Andrew, Shayla); and three great-grandchildren (Annabelle, Zhaddon, and Tristan). Tom moved back to Tampa in 1975 after retirement. He owned a bike repair shop in Tampa for more than 30 years, and was often referred to as the “Bike Doctor”. He will be remembered for his compassion for all animals and the less fortunate. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 6, at 1 pm at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S MacDill Ave, Tampa, Florida. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in loving memory of Andrea LoPresti.
