She lived a full and interesting life, touring with her singing group The Girlfriends in her late teens before settling in Miami with her first husband, Ira, where she was a health educator, fund raiser, and speaker for the March of Dimes. After moving to Tampa with second husband, Dave Cobb, she continued her work with March of Dimes and later became producer and host of TV talk show People and Places, for which she was awarded the Golden Cassette award in 1986. She would then go on to be appointed to the Hillsborough County Planning Commission. Her full accomplishments are too numerous to mention, but she held her work in the community above all else. She was well loved and welcomed all as a mom, grandma, and great grandma.
She is preceded in death by parents Leo and Jean Gruber, husband David G. Cobb daughter Leslie Karen, son Brian Cobb, and grandson Billy Legier. She is survived by her children Jeff Reamer (Sue), David Reamer (Jean), Ellen Gaynor (Michael), Bart Cobb (Kathy), and Melissa Cobb Legier (Bill); nieces and nephews Alane Ellenbogen (Rudolph), Debbie Reamer (Andrew Clare), Elizabeth Hornick (Blake), Jeff Cole (Susan), Cindy Koerner (Chip Hussey), and Tom Cole (Kim); grandchildren Jeff Reamer (Jessica), Nigel Bryant (Keyshea), JD Reamer (Allie), Amanda Laxague (Nathan), Jack Reamer (Michelle), Rick Zavada (Shannon), Leslie Gaynor (Logan), Sarah Wilcox (Justin), Rachel Gaynor, Shelly Gaynor (Rhett), and Shelby Reamer; and many great grandchildren. A special thanks to all her wonderful caregivers. May her memory be a blessing.
