we are coming up on a year now since taylor passed and i still find myself searching up her name because im still in distraught over what happened. as a classmate and friend of hers since elementary school this was the hardest things ive ever had to go through so far in my life. grieving doesn’t end. i still think about her so often, sometimes good memories sometimes the memories of the days leading up to her death. but she was so bright and kind. everyday in class we would do what we called “whiteboards” to study vocabulary. she HATED whiteboards and expressed that out loud. oh what i would do to hear her complain about those whiteboards again. i am so sorry for anyone that was affected in anyway by her death. you are not alone. you are not grieving too much, or too long. just don’t forget her. remember her and spread her name and positivity every chance you get. continue her path of love and kindness for her. please.

I have such fond memories of Taylor and your family during your short time in Elizabeth City.  Taylor was such a precious, smart and kind little girl. I am so deeply sorry for your loss.  Wishing you peace and love in the days ahead.

My main view of Taylor was through the eyes of her younger siblings, Ty and Taytum. In their eyes, she was their shepherd and example in how to live. She was always attentive to them and I delighted in seeing her play with them and their friends. She was beautiful inside and out. May the angels sing her to glory.


Taylor - such a friendly, kind girl. Most recently, I enjoyed chatting with her as we walked - or tried to walk - our puppies. They would get tangled up together joyfully romping with each other, and Taylor and I chatted about her schoolwork and other things. She truly was the sunshine of our street; our family, and surely all her neighbors, are stunned and heartbroken by this incredible loss. 

Taylor had the most beautiful, loving soul. She was more than a friend or a teammate, she was a sister. She was always there for me and gave me good advice  when I needed it. Most of the time I wouldn’t listen to her advice and then after I would hear that sassy, “I told you so”’. We didn’t hang out or talk 24/7 but whenever we did, we could just pick up right where we left off. I will never forget her contagious smile or her bright personality.

Very fond memories of Taylor at our family gatherings especially of her patiently playing GO FISH with my younger grandchildren.  Also her obeying right away whenever her mother asked for help with anything - no push back or frustrated  body language.  She was an amazing young woman in every way and was so easy to love.  I wonder if she is teaching little ones to play GO FISH  in heaven??❤️❤️

Such a sweet, smart, loving, beautiful girl. I am so so saddened to hear of her passing. My heart breaks for her wonderful and devoted family. 

I was honestly blessed to know Taylor. She was such a kind, brilliant, and caring girl, taken far too young. I’ll cherish all the old memories I have with her forever. My fondest will always be when we were young, running around the Sponge Docks pretending to be cheetahs. She was always a pure delight to be around and could make anyone smile. There is one thing I know for sure, and that is that her beautiful aura will forever be missed. Rest in peace Tay. 

There are no words only a heavy heart  Taylor was a ray of sunshine with those beautiful eyes   every time I saw her she was happy and would always  give me a hug.  She would light up the room when she walked in   she was a very precious little girl I still remember her at five years old and she was about the smartest happiest child I think I have ever seen I am so glad I have these memories to hold onto.  I want to wrap my arms around the whole grieving family and give them the warmest  and biggest hug I could ever give. 

I got the news today.  Words don’t  easy when trying to understand why. I have a picture of this beauty that remains out for me to look at everyday to remind me that it was her light, her smile and that amazing laugh that touched me. When she was my sewing student I would like to think we were more than that. We were friends. There was much still for her to do. My love and sympathy are pale words to give to a family that is grieving for the life that was cut short. Taylor will live in my and everyone that knew her heart. I Love Taylor.  Ms. Green

The first sleepover.Me and Taylor’s first sleep over was on January 1st,2021.We’ve known each other for a while before but we’d never hung out.It was at her house.We clicked instantly,we starting talking and talking and told each other pretty much everything.We weren’t bestfriends as long as some people have known her but we know everything about each other and we know the other better than we know ourselves.We were so close to hitting one year.Even though she’s not her to celebrate,January 1st will forever be an extremely special day to me.I love you soulmate 

There are never words that can express a loss of a loved family member especially one so young.  My family's prayers go out to Taylor's family, remember all the wonderful fun times and moments that were shared. I never met Taylor, but just reading and hearing comments from her friends at school and church, she was a wonderful, caring soul.  She will always be in your hearts.
