Susan is survived by her children Michele Rajala (David) and Dana Prosser Clark (Allen) and four grandchildren Jared Rajala, Evan Rajala, Aiden Clark, and Dylan Clark. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, David and Jane Shiveler; her brother Scott Shiveler; and by the father of her children David R. Prosser Jr.
Susan was born on December 8,1944 in Tampa, Florida to David and Jane Shiveler. She graduated from Westbrook Junior College in 1964 with an Associate in Applied Science Degree. After college, Susan moved back to Tampa and began working for Xpedx Paper Company for many years. Then she began her next career working for Weight Watchers as a coach in helping people achieve their health goals for over 12 years. There she made numerous acquaintances and some that became lifelong friends.
She loved to plan, organize, and help people achieve their goals. She was very passionate about making people feel better about themselves. She was a good listener and always took the time to offer uplifting words...and when you walked away you always felt better about yourself. She loved reading and spending time with her grandchildren when she could. They were her whole world.
Her daughters remember her as a patient mother who loved them more than anything. She always encouraged them to be honest, work hard and live each day to the fullest because tomorrow was never promised. She was extremely close to each of her daughters in their own way. She shaped them into the loving and caring mothers they are today. She always told them to get along with each other, don’t bicker or complain or hurt each other’s feelings. Because she knew the day would come when each other is all that they would have.
A celebration of life for Susan is scheduled for Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Blount and Curry Funeral Home at 605 S MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33609. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Susan’s life.
